Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship |
The Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship values all the people in our community and is committed to providing opportunities for members and friends of all ages to come together for various activities, projects and events. “BUF Community” programs are intended to be multigenerational and everyone is encouraged to participate! To make sure that you know what’s happening, contact our administrator to get on the email list to receive our Midweek Updates!
Worship is an obvious means to the end of faith development. This year we have planned for a handful of “BUF Community Worship” services that are designed to be relevant and accessible to people of all ages. BUF Community Worship services are announced in the Midweek Update that comes out via email every Thursday.
“BUF Community Nights” are a great opportunity to break bread and build community with friends, both old and new! We serve dinner at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday nights (with few exceptions around the holidays) and offer stimulating program opportunities after (including choir rehearsal from 7:00 to 8:30). Dinners are simple, family friendly, home cooked meals that accommodate vegetarian, gluten, and dairy free restrictions. Meals cost $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for children 5 yrs and older, or $10.00 per family (up to 2 adults with children under 16). No RSVP required (but you may want to be on time to ensure that there is plenty of food when you go through the line)!
Members and friends of all ages are invited to come upstairs to our Flex room, for class after BUF Community Night Dinner and ‘Gather the Spirit.’ Gather the Spirit is a new multigenerational curriculum, published by the UUA, which teaches stewardship with a special focus on water. This is an eight-week course offered on various Wednesday nights throughout the fall. You are welcome to come to one class or come to them all. Check the Midweek Update for specific dates as well as topic and activity descriptions.
Our Midweek Updates will also keep you informed about the other kinds of programs that will happen on Wednesday nights including Family Contra Dances, Pumpkin Carving, Hanukkah and Solstice celebrations and more!
The Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship is committed to helping members and friends put their Principles into Action and we believe this is important for people of all ages! Several opportunities will be announced throughout the church year for adults and children to join forces to create good in our community and world. Watch the Midweek Update for these opportunities!
