Religious Education for Adults
There are many opportunities for adults to deepen their understanding of their religious identities. Our programs include various Affinity Groups that create opportunities for social connection as well as opportunities for service and learning.

Sunday Morning RE
This year (2009-10) we are offering religious education classes for adults on most Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 10:30. We are currently using the UU Tapestry-of-Faith curriculum "Spirit of Life."  The classes are in a series but each stands alone, so drop-ins are welcome.  Classes are held at the Broadway Youth Center (corner of Broadway and Dupont, about 1 block from BUF) during construction.

Community Nights
Every Wednesday night is a Community Night at BUF!  All members and friends are invited to share a meal and bask in the friendship and comfort of community.  Dinner is served at 6:00pm and occasionally there is light programming from 7:70-8:30 (we have childcare every night, so no need to make the request!).  Dinner is $4/adults, $3/kids over 5 or $10/family.  Meet in the social hall.

Life Exercise
A program of gentle movement drawn from Chinese Tai Chi and Japanese health exercises. Lead by Lee Seaman, 676-8543 (every week, Mondays at 6:00pm and Fridays at 1:00pm in the sanctuary).

Empty Nesters
A quarterly gathering for parents of children leaving home, children who have left home, and children who return home after a time away. Contact Heidi Alford, 733-6282.

BUF Book Group

Dragonfly Quuilters

Knit Night
The knitters meet to share patterns, tips, conversation and laughter to the clicking of needles on second and fourth Tuesdays. Contact Marty Villa-Lovoz, 671-5907.

Bellingham Ukulele group
Informal fun group, come to learn, play, or teach! Contact Aryn Whitewolf, 366-5660.

(Oh, did you notice that we are very busy? That's part of why we needed a bigger building.)
"Life becomes religious whenever we make it so:
when some new light is seen,
when some deeper appreciation is felt,
when some larger outlook is gained,
when some nobler purpose is formed,
when some task is well done."
