organic networking session that started in London, England and has since caught fire around the world.
Like-minded individuals in places from Hong Kong to India, Sweden to South Africa meet every month to catch-up,
network and talk about the latest green issues. According to greendrinks.org, “These events are very simple and
unstructured, but many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas, done deals and had moments

North Sound Baykeeper Beaches Cleanup
5th of July cleanups at Marine Park, Locust Beach, and Cherry Point. The weather looks like it'll be beautiful,
and after the cleanup is done is a great time to hang out with the family and discover new critters and enjoy the day.
Hope to see you out! For the Marine Park Beach cleanup, we'll meet at Marine Park in Fairhaven at 9:30 am. Lee First
of RE Sources' North Sound Baykeeper team will be on hand with our cool new display on marine plastics. From Marine Park,
one crew will clean southward around the point and back. A second crew will follow Eleanor Hines of Surfrider Foundation
to Locust Beach, parking at the Bellingham Kiteboarding center and cleaning from there. Plan on pick-up activities to
continue until noon. The Cherry Point beach cleanup will be from 10 am to noon. Join Matt Krogh of the North Sound
Baykeeper team at the end of Gulf Rd (west on Main St. in Ferndale, continue onto Mountain View Rd., angle right on
Rainbow Rd. [4.8 miles from the Nooksack bridge], swoop left onto Henry Johnson Rd. going west, turn left onto Gulf
Rd. Park at pull-out by beach.) Bring buckets with handles if you've got 'em. We'll consolidate into bags
at the collection point (buckets are also better for sharp objects) and good gloves and shoes. Also consider long pants,
as collecting litter can lead to injuries. Finally, sun protection (hah!). How about "weather appropriate clothing?"
