Each of these leaders has brought their own vision and flavor to thecommunity group and has moved the group in particular directions depending on their focus. However, the foundation of this community group has always been an alignment with the purpose, vision and mission of the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), which is to explore consciousness for a world awakening through frontier science, personal inquiry and learning communities. Through the use of indigenous technology throughout the world, we research similiarities of humanity versus the differences. Gathering insights on what it is to be human beings and the potential of systems, cycles, and patterns for sustainability on our earth walk. As a foundation, we intend to develop multi-cultural experiences to be shared in communities and to network with like-minded groups, heart to heart. We are a stand and commitment for all children of the world through education, science, art, music, dance, literature, ceremony and technology. Honor Day is based on Natural World Architecture with a Native American Interpretation. Honor Day recognizes the many contributions made by Native American Indians. It was awakened in a traditional manner, and now serves the indigenous roots of all people. The development of Honor Day has followed the traditional Hoops of Life. Interfaith Power and Light (Washington) http://honorfoundation.org Earth Ministry’s Washington Interfaith Power & Light (WAIPL) project organizes an interfaith religious response to global warming. WAIPL is part of a national Interfaith Power & Light movement that is 28 states strong and growing. It is led by Jews, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists and the faithful from other traditions across Washington State. WAIPL works to protect creation and safeguard society’s most vulnerable by providing education about global warming, helping individuals and congregations reduce their carbon footprints, and advocating for sustainable energy.
