WA State Legislative Actions for 02.17.26

Now that the bills have been passed onto their opposite chamber or died in committee, we enter the home stretch for this session.  February 25, 2026 is the policy committee cutoff date for this session.  There will likely be a few more as they still have today to push through the remaining bills, but in the meanwhile you can comment on the bills with hearings thus far.

To enter in a “Pro,” “Con” or “Other” Vote, take the following steps.  We’re recommending “PRO” for the bills below.

Type in “leg.wa.gov” (https://leg.wa.gov/) in the search bar of your browser.

Near the top the home screen, there is a box that says “Find a bill or initiative.”  In that box, type in the four-digit number of the bill (do not include the alpha prefix) and click the yellow “Search” button.

This will take to you to that bill’s tracking page.

On the right-hand side, click on the “Sign up to testify / Submit written testimony” button.

*Note:  if you want to submit provide some written comments, select the “I would like to submit written testimony” button instead.  The steps will be similar.

Make sure that the bill number checked in the list on the page is the same as the bill number you are registering your position on.

Click on the “I would like my position noted for the legislative record” option.

Select the stance (Pro, Con, Other) from the “Position” drop down list.

Then, fill in your personal information.  Note the fields that have astericks (*).  These are required fields.

Click on the box “I am not a robot.”

Click on the green “Submit” button.

Do this for each bill.
