Sunday Service - In the Spirit of Right and Respectful Relations with Salmon Nations

  • Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship 1207 Ellsworth Street Bellingham, WA, 98225 United States (map)

Rev. Sunny McMillan with Beth Brownfield and Honored Guest Jay Julius from Lummi Nation

In the book In the Spirit of Right and Respectful Relations, Former Chairman of the Lummi Nation and President of Se’Si’Le (our grandmother) non-profit, Jay Julius, writes of building “a bridge not of sympathy, but of understanding and empathy, so that non-Indigenous people can stand with the Salmon Nations in our fight to protect this place we call home.” Native American Connections (a BUF Social & Environmental Justice Action Team) and BUF are honored to welcome Jay Julius to speak on October 11, with an SEJC Collection for Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association (NSEA).  Join us as we build that bridge of understanding and empathy.
