Easter Service

Alleluia Bursting Forth from the Earth Like Tulips

BUF’s Easter & Flower Communion Service—COMBINED!

Sunny Joy McMillan, Rev. Tessie Mandeville, and Rev. Dr. Barbara Wells ten Hove, worship leaders

Today on a beautiful spring day, we celebrate re-birth. We rejoice that from out of winter, flowers now bloom. We celebrate the meaning of Easter through the lens of our faith – acknowledging that even when life is hard and bleak, new hope is always possible, new life can always emerge. This year we’re doing something new and combining Easter with our annual Flower Communion! We invite everyone to bring a flower (or more than one!) to place in a vase on the altar so that together we create a beautiful bouquet. We’ll each bring a flower but take a different one home! We hope you’ll find that by blending bits of traditions with creativity and joy, new life and new traditions can emerge.
