Love at the Center

  • Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship 1207 Ellsworth Street Bellingham, WA, 98225 United States (map)

In 2024, our Unitarian Universalist tradition moved from a list of seven Principles that we affirmed and promoted, to a set of six Shared Values (Justice, Equity, Transformation, Pluralism, Interdependence, and Generosity) with Love at the center.  In this service, we will explore the history behind this transition from Principles to Shared Values, as well as what it means to place Love at the center of our faith tradition.

Stay after the service for a screening of “Defying the Nazis: The Sharps’ War,” a documentary that tells the story of a daring rescue mission by Waitstill and Martha Sharp, an American Unitarian minister and his wife. This 90-minute documentary will be followed by a brief discussion.
