Join UU Ministry for Earth to ground, re-center, and sustain ourselves for the work of climate justice. There are readings, a short reflection, time for individual contemplation, and sharing in small groups.

Sunday, May 3—Flower Moon (flowers blooming)
Sunday, May 31—Blue Moon (rare, as “once in a blue moon” — two full moons in the same month)
Sunday, June 28—Strawberry Moon (strawberry harvesting)
Sunday, July 26—Buck Moon (Deer antler growth, orange or red in color)
Sunday, August 30—Sturgeon Moon (Aug 28, Partial lunar eclipse, when sturgeons are most easily caught in the Great Lakes)
Sunday, September 27—Harvest Moon (Sep 26, Partial lunar eclipse, Supermoon, lighting the fields for farmers to harvest, orange, yellow or red in color)
Sunday, October 25—Blood Moon (passes through Earth’s shadow, red in color)
Sunday, November 22—Frost Moon (Nov 24, Supermoon, beginning of winter)
Monday, December 21—Cold Moon (Dec 24, Supermoon, just before Solstice and onset of coldest time of the year)
*A supermoon occurs when a full moon coincides with the moon's closest approach to Earth (perigee), making it appear larger and brighter than a typical full moon
