Whatcom Faith Community Immigrant Support (WFCIS)Weekly Update

We are people of faith seeking to support immigrants in Whatcom County. Though our traditions are diverse, we share the value of celebrating and defending our immigrant neighbors.

Each week, WFCIS volunteers and donors make a difference in the lives of 50 families with an estimated membership of 270 family members. Over 65% of the family members are children and youth. Your help ensures that Whatcom County is place where all are welcome. Everything you do is critical, whether it is donating a dozen eggs, transporting or delivering boxes or helping to organize donations. The need is increasing so please continue your support through these important summer months.

Food Donations for Tuesday, August 14, 2026

First Congregational Church

North Entrance Social Hall 10:45 – 11:45

We are using a combination of your donations and purchases with our financial donations to support families. Please consider making the following items priorities next week:
Eggs
Cutie oranges
Queso and mozzarella cheese

We would especially appreciate groups of people signing up to donate large bags of rice or beans that can be divided on Tuesday mornings. Please indicate that as an interest at WhatcomFCIS@gmail.com.

Thank you for your generous donations. You are making a difference across Whatcom County.

Fresh Food Donations from Your Garden

We had remarkable success last summer including fresh vegetables and fruits from your gardens. Please think about donating the extra that you must share. Any produce that is donated needs to be pre-cleaned please as we cannot do that at FCCB.

Supporting our immigrant neighbors is a community effort!
