In July 2026, BUF is excited to welcome UC Irvine professor Dr. Ama Wray to lead her annual summer Embodiology® Immersion Program in Bellingham using BUF's Social Hall. Embodiology is a holistic combination of movement, music, cognition and sensory awareness designed to promote mind, body, and spirit wellness while supporting knowing, justice, social connection, trust, fulfillment, and self-regulation.

Survey of BUF Spiritual/ Philosophical/Religious Beliefs & Practices
The purpose of the Beliefs and Practices Survey was to present a snapshot of the spiritual/philosophical/religious beliefs and practices of BUF members and friends who attend BUF services. The service on March 22 was chosen as a representative Sunday for conducting the survey.
Volunteer Opportunity: Emergency Response Team
BUF’s Safety & Security Team is forming the Emergency Response Team for Sunday Services and looking for volunteers to respond to individuals who are (1) in need of medical assistance or (2) who are experiencing emotional/psychological distress and may be threatening the safety of the congregation.
Chaco Canyon Call to Action: Comments due right now!
Chaco Canyon, one of the most sacred landscapes in our country, is being targeted for further extractive industry projects and the Bureau of Land Management have given us only 7 days to respond with tomorrow being the deadline—April 7th.
